Sautéed Green Beans Almonds (Printer-friendly)

Tender green beans sautéed with garlic and toasted almonds for a flavorful, crisp side.

# What You'll Need:

→ Vegetables

01 - 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

→ Aromatics

02 - 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

→ Nuts

03 - 1/4 cup sliced almonds

→ Oils & Fats

04 - 2 tablespoons olive oil

→ Seasonings

05 - 1/2 teaspoon sea salt, or to taste
06 - 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
07 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional)

# How to Make It:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans and blanch for 2 to 3 minutes until bright green and just tender. Drain and immediately transfer to a bowl of ice water to halt cooking. Drain well and set aside.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, toast the sliced almonds, stirring frequently, until golden brown and fragrant, about 2 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
03 - Using the same skillet, add olive oil and sliced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until the garlic is fragrant but not browned.
04 - Add the drained green beans to the skillet. Sauté, stirring frequently, for 3 to 4 minutes until heated through and slightly crisp-tender.
05 - Season with sea salt, black pepper, and optional lemon juice. Toss to coat evenly.
06 - Sprinkle the toasted almonds over the green beans and serve immediately.
