# Expert Suggestions:

01 -
  • It pulls together in 30 minutes but tastes like you spent way longer on it.
  • The warm flatbread against cold, tangy lettuce is ridiculously satisfying.
  • You can use rotisserie chicken and store-bought dressing without anyone knowing or caring.
  • It's impressive enough for guests but easy enough for a solo weeknight.
02 -
  • Don't dress all the lettuce at once or it will get soggy and limp, only toss what you're using right away.
  • Let the chicken rest after grilling or you'll lose all the juices when you slice it and end up with dry meat.
  • If your flatbread is thin, watch it closely in the oven because it can go from golden to burnt in under a minute.
03 -
  • Add crumbled bacon or a couple of anchovy fillets on top for a salty, umami punch that takes it to the next level.
  • Use a pizza cutter to slice the flatbread into even wedges quickly and cleanly without dragging all the toppings off.
  • If you want a little heat, drizzle some hot sauce or sprinkle red pepper flakes over the finished flatbread before serving.
